The Aruba Trade & Industry Association was founded on June 18, 1945.

ATIA's General Mission Statement

"To serve the needs of members by working with and advising government agencies and the business community to promote the quality of Aruba's trade and industry for long-term stable business growth and quality of life for the Aruban people."

 

Overall Objectives:

  • To protect and promote the interests of its members and the business community in general.
  • To promote and support Aruban entrepreneurship.
  • To raise the awareness in the business community of its ethical and social responsibilities.
  • To promote greater concern in the community at large about the need of the physical environment.
  • To promote greater concern in the community at large about the need of the social environment.
  • To promote and facilitate good communication between the government and the business community.
  • To promote high standards of quality in all aspects of business.

ATIA's program contains:

  • Promoting free enterprise
  • Promoting simple, clear and efficient government business policies, procedures and practices.
  • Promoting and cultivating a fair and healthy playing field.
  • Promoting Aruba's competitive edge of development.
  • Developing and maintaining ATIA as the preferred business interest association on Aruba.

Member Services:

  • General educational, P.R. and newsletter and news briefings.
  • Business Briefings, hearings and symposiums.
  • Good Business Bureau rating and a monitoring service.
  • Local Resource referral.
